I am a speaker, writer, entrepreneur and public policy consultant in the digital development and innovation space. I am one of the first people to be certified as competent in “Accelerating the Implementation of the African Union’s Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa (STISA-2024)” by the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). I have extensive experience in harnessing Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) to achieve sustainable development through initiatives in digital education, capacity building, policy development, content provision, digital development advisory and career coaching. I founded Jidaw.com website and initiatives in a pioneering role in Nigeria focusing on digital development. I have explored and focused on the use of established and emerging technologies to foster inclusive and sustainable development. I worked in the Banking, Communications and Information Technology industries, delivering Digital Technology Training, Consulting, Management and Web content provision services as a communications engineer, systems programmer, technology consultant, manager and entrepreneur with LM Ericsson, United Bank for Africa, Ecobank, CTB and Jidaw Systems Limited. I developed national policies for Nigeria’s ICT4D Strategic Action Plan working with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). I carried out national public policy and development advisory consulting assignments. I contributed to advancing digital development by setting up and managing several initiatives as Chairman, Publicity and Events committee and Chairman, Conferences committee of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). I developed digital advocacy strategies as a member of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Committee of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN). I am widely published and speak on a wide range of digital development and innovation. My articles have been published in national newspapers and magazines and international publications such as the Canadian CIPS IT Professional magazine. I authored the ICT4D Strategic Action Plan Implementation Status and Update publication, e-Nigeria from 2010 to 2014 publication, ICT4D Strategic Action Plan Implementation Status Update and other publications. I promote and contribute to the goals of STISA-2024 through the STI for the Sustainable Development of Africa Forum and other related initiatives in Africa.
