Tunji Alabi has been an effective strategy director with over 30 years of proven international strategic leadership experience with demonstrated results in the operations and management of high value and mission critical projects in multi-platform environments. He has cross functional experience across many industries ranging from banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, Healthcare, FMCG and consulting. In addition, he has comprehensive experience in the acquisition of management information systems and in programme management including requirement analysis, design, integration and testing. Tunji is currently the Managing Director of Infratel Africa, a leading Telecommunications Infrastructure provider with offices throughout Africa. Prior to this, he was the CIO of Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited. Tunji started his IT career with Citibank NA in 1988 in the UK where he gained experience in business leadership & technology with special emphasis on business transformation and strategy. In recognition for his contributions, the Ghana Telecoms Awards committee awarded hin the Ghana "CIO of the Year" for 2014. Prior to joining Fidelity Bank in 2014, he spent 5 years as Group Head of Technology at Ecobank where he spearheaded the centralization of application and services in 36 Ecobank affiliates across Africa into two enterprise Data Centres as well as the integration of 13 acquired banks into the Ecobank family. In 2003, Tunji spent three years with Airtel Nigeria (formerly Vmobile) and rose to the position of Director of Strategy. During this period, he facilitated the implementation of the first mobile banking initiative within the company. During his time at Vmobile, he was at one time the Project Director for the accelerated Base Station rollout as well as the Head of Technology. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the "CEO's Excellence Award" for the best employee of the year 2005. Tunji has a first degree in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ife, Nigeria and a postgraduate degree in Telecommunication from South Bank University, London.
